Hi Hi Hikers!

Welcome! I’m Cedar, a thru-hiker and a trail chef during the on-season, and a writer, storyteller, and facilitator in the off-season.

I’m a human being, practicing getting there by human doing. Attempting 10 thru-hikes by the time I’m 40, and offering a candid look into what it’s like to live on trail.

Pacific Crest Trail Thru-Hike: Day 151

Today was stunning. Unreal beautiful.

Didn't start hiking until 8:30/9am due to wet and cold. The forecast for this morning and day not as good as it was supposed to be, but it should be nice tomorrow: in the 60's!

We are 40.5 miles from the border. Quite cold but at least not raining or actively precipitating. The entire Boo/Happy Meal/Baby Gap/Shade gang also camped here; we had a big fire with a cooking stone, a drying line, and it is nice to have a little bit of a family for the end of the trail.

We'll go over Harts Pass tomorrow and then pretty much that's it—we begin our descent into Canada.
